VNCOC Asian Health Center

The VNCOC Asian Health Center was founded in June 1998 in response to the urgent health needs of the large medically-undeserved population in the community. With a medical staff of three physicians, a nurse practitioner, three dentists, and a strong supporting personnel, which includes four medical assistants and four dental assistants, the Center has accumulated a roster of nearly 10,000 patients with more than 15,000 visits per year, both dental and medical. The Center has also helped enrolled thousands uninsured children to state-sponsored health insurance programs.

Furthermore, since February of 2007, the VNCOC Asian Health Center has been approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to be a FQHC-look alike clinic. Its Medical Services Initiative (MSI) program has enrolled thousands of low-income Vietnamese-American residents within the age from twenty-one to sixty-four years old in the Program and provided them the necessary means to take care of their own health.
